Columbian Sharks, White Tip Shark Cats

Good tankmates would be somewhat aggressive fish. You could set up a Columbian river mouth biotope which would consist of the sharks (which really are catfish) and maybe some carribean damsels. Or, just other semi-aggressive fish like: wrasses, clowns, hawkfish etc.

    Harlequin Sweetlips

Sweetlips, in general are not very hardy. They are a type of grunt. Harlequins max out around 24 inches. Your tank is not really big enough for it. This size fish would create poor water quatlity which is needed for yout inverts. BTW, they eat anything they can or might be able to fit in...

    Blackpowder??

Blackpowder is a Marc Weiss product. By the name alone, I already don't like it. Marc Weiss products are low quality and are difficult to test for(in the case of iodine). Don't waste ur $$. For good quality plankton food, Dt's is the best. It must be kept refrigerated.

What is this purple stuff growing on LR!!!!!!

I smell a newbie! Welcome to the board! Coralline algae is a sign of an established and stable tank. If you want it to flourish, keep your pH stable and keep your alk. and Ca levels up. This can be done by several ways but I favor ESV B-Ionic which is a 2 part alk/Ca buffer. If you keep 2 of...

At my LFS we have a 27 gallon tank wiht 2x55 watt PCs and SPS do fine in it. I belive VHOs aren't as intense as PCs so would this be enought lighting? Would adding a single...

Hey guys, this is my first new topic in a while so here goes. My question is about the care of these guys. I do not own one and was wondering what their care would be. I have seen places online that say they don't ship well and aren't that hardy. A guy I work with says if you do get them...

Need opinions please. What do you think of this?

Yeah I wouldn't belive any information on a site that says blue-dot rays are easy to keep. This site just misinforms people interested in taking on sharks as a hobby. This site encourages them to buy small tanks which eventually will not be big enough for the sharks they decide to buy.

Long Tentacles naturally "root" their "foot" in the sand. They usually do the same in an Aquarium. He will eventually find a spot he likes and "root" there.
