Hey I made this thread in order to show myself that I was not the only one with a 29 gallon.

Well I just got a HiFin and he is doing very well. Although I haven't fed him yet, he is out and my other fish seem to not be bothered by his arrival.

So it is a total of 50 watts. I did a thread on lighting a few weeks ago and someone said that 50-90 watts would be efficient.

I am only going to have polyp and mushroom corals. So I am not going for a full reef yet. I will see whether or not I can handle these corals then upgrade my lighting later. I have for lighting: 24" 50/50 /w/ reflector 25 watt. 24" Blue Actinic 25 watt.

I have a 29 soon-to-be reef tank and was wondering something about my subtrate, I have CC and have been over months hearing of how sand is better than CC. Since I have an established tank and feel that taking the CC would be a fiasco, I was wondering if it would be ok if I put 1" to 2" of...

It is probably just getting acclimated to your tank. If he is eating then he should be ok.

mine's right next to me as well, the maxi-jet usually never makes any noise, once in a while it does and so I just readjust it.

I started with Maxi-Jet because I knew it was one of the best.:)

It all depends on how much you have become attached and how long you have had a fish. My sixline lasted only 3 days, so I am going to buy a fish fairly soon. That is, after reseacrhing it throughly!:D
