    Yellow Clown Goby?

They have a slime coating that discourages other fish from picking on them. But, if you have any large fish, they will prolly be lunch. I think they will be fine with a royal gramma. They hide really well. They can and will eat and kill SPS. It is where they breed and one of their food sources...

    Care requirements??T

They eat more or less the same as my fish do. Omega brine, cyclops, phyto, mysis, emerald diet, krill. I mix it all together with garlic and vitamins and tank water for moisture. Then I use a pipette to target feed my tank each night. Usually a batch lasts me about 3 days. I have been thinking...

    Care requirements??T

Right on! I love the response you get from LPS. They always seem more "alive" to me for some reason. Like my duncans, as soon as I start blowing the food at them with the pipette, their little mouths open and you can see them eating the food. SPS and zoos don't really do that as much or at least...

    Care requirements??T

Definitely! Thanks. You have better lighting so I am thinking that mine will have to go toward the top. I already feed my duncans a couple times a week and I get like one new head a month so I can just incorporate that them into that feeding schedule. Night or day feeders?

    Care requirements??T

There aren't a lot of responses in the LPS forum so I have a couple questions about some corals. What a the general care requirements for acans? and for blastomussas? I am thinking of ordering some soon since my tank is more mature now but want to make sure than I can care for them properly...

Safe to buy live sand on craigslist?

Well, how is it being transported? Unless it stays submerged, a lot of important bacteria and critters that make it "live" will die off and then you have expensive dead sand.........You may be better off buying a few choice pieces of live rock, dry sand, and letting the rock seed the sand. It...

Where can I put my Mandarin?

To the OP, yes, garlic and fish keeping is an extremely discussed topic because as of yet there has been no definitive answer as to why it helps. There can be no doubt that it does do something beneficial most of the time. I think most would agree to that but there are definitely times when may...

What can we do to up the numbers?

My suggestion is to definitely bring the trade forums back. Not the buy sell ones. Just the trade. That would ensure competitors are not selling here. Or to allow people to do it with PM. Also I think that we should be able to PM a link to someone if they need info on where to get something and...

Where can I put my Mandarin?

LOL. I do this all the time in my personal life too. I love to debate with others but it is a pet peeve of mine when discussions go round and round with no outcome.......I hate to argue and beat a dead horse in other words... Hence the reason I no longer visit the Aquarium and participate in the...

Where can I put my Mandarin?

So....to make a long thread a bit more easy to understand.....no one really knows why garlic may or may not be effective. However, it does seem to help them to stay healthy and sometimes recover from ich. It would be worthwhile to perhaps add it in to a hypo/copper treatment for some more added...

If you are not super in-love with the tang then maybe you could consider trading him in for something else that is more sociable.... I am very sorry for your loss....

    Starting a new tank

I would suggest staying away from any smaller fish. They will likely end up as lunch unfortunately. Maybe a dwarf angel or a fast wrasse. Maybe a larger blenny to keep the sand clean........
