Ive had my heater on 79 and my tank stays consistent 80-82. I had to turn it down cuz it was getting too hot. I dont keep the AC on when im not home so i had no choice. I wouldnt turn the heater completely off. Try and lower the temp setting on it.
I havent seen my cleaner shrimp for about 3 days. Hes always in this little cave hanging out and now he is no where to be found. Im a little worried that he might be dead. He molted last week so i dont think hes molting again. Hes been missing since a put in a new emerald crab which from what i...
First one is still alive. He got BIG. This one isnt moving at all. Hes like dead i dunno. I took him out and i have him in a bag with water from my tank. Should i put him back in?? Also there was absolutely no movement from him.
This sucks. I just bought an emerald crab yesterday and today it died. I found him dead on the sand. I acclimated him the same way as the first one. He was a little discolored. His body was white and his legs were green. Its going back to the LFS tomm.

2 emeralds
1 sally light foot
1 coral beauty

Get a couple of blue leg hermits. They are cool.
Does anyone else's cleaner shrimps hide alot or is it just mine? Seems like he hasnt ventured to the other side of my tank yet. I know exactly where to find him everytime. He hides in this cave all the time and doesnt come out much. Is this normal?
If you have some carbon for filtration i would run it. It will help clear it up faster. As for the fish i think they will be ok. But you may have kicked off a mini cycle. Check your parameters.
