    live rock

Sounds like you have a lot of Live sand in your tank. the Live rock will give you some critters - but mostly it for the fush to swim around and to create a mini reef base that your fish will enjoy and ocik at for food, and a place for you to put your corals.

Live Rock and Base Rock ?

Purchase enough Live Sand (I'm preaching again) to create a 4" deep sand bed and then add your live rock on top to your liking without concern for help as a biofilter. Create an ecosystem that's nice to look at and great for your animals - let the live sand do the work.

    lights for 12hrs only?

Most of the animals in your tank come from a reef of some kind somwhere. The summer sun is on around 9 - 12 hours. I have mine on from 9AM to 9PM - that's totally normal.

My stars are falling apart. Please help!

Brittle stars don't eat sand sifters, nor do Sally Lightfoots - you have another predator in the tank - check for a mantis shrimp - or you have a carnivorous fish. what type of fish do you have? Check a compatibility chart. You be feeding one of your fish.

Try smashing the colony with your cleaning magnet and scooping out the remains with the lights off so your fish doesn't see the net.

    Sand cloudy

It will take all night - but be happy - those damsels you have can go back into the tank in about two hours and should survive. The temp of the water needs to be stablized mostly. these animals have lived with underwater sand storms for many generations. Mine survive three such mega storms...

    Live Rock

adding live sand or live rock to your tank will cause the tank to recycle. a 10-75 gallon container(this depends on the amount of LR you are buying) from Wal-Mart is about $12.00-$25.00, a power head for your purpose is about $25.00 and a heater is about $20.00 Buy the above first - Fill to...

    red slime??

Red slime comes transported from live rock, live sand and even the water the fish transfer from. If your tank is nutrient deficient (which it is supposed to be) your fine. If you really want some red slime just purchase a piece of LR with it and it should spread in your tank.

    Seaclone Skimmer Bubble Problem

The Red slime treatment causes the protien skimmer to react with the tiny bubbles. Leave the skimmer on and do some water changes. Question - what was the reason for the red slime treatment? Is your tank new and just cycling or are your fish looking sick? As far as your algae problem - make...

    undulated in reef....??

This is a mean nasty fish that eats inverts. If you don't mind having your rocks moved around and don't have any inverts you're OK.

    Fiber optics

Fiber optics are too localized - but if you want to direct light to a specific place in the tank without having light everywhere Fiber optics will do nicely

    Sea Clone

I have two Sea Clone's - one for my 55 gsal and one for the QT tank. Remove the air adjuster and make sure you clean the collection cup every other day. Also plan on cleaning the unit completely every three weeks and it works fine.
