Sorry to say, but in my opinion, you do not have the lighting to keep an anemone. You have about 1.8 w/gal. Most anemones need higher intensity light to survive. Clowns don't need an anemone(even though they are cool together).

I would agree with Birdy about the worms and infauna being more benificial to a dsb. IMO snails do a better job as far as a cleanup crew, so if hermits are not available stick with snails. Conches are good sand cleaners. Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, but a sand siftiing goby may do...

Yes, for a dsb, to help finish the nitrification cycle(turn nitrates to nitrogen gas) you should have at least 4 inches of a fine grain sand. 4-6 inches is the norm on this board for a dsb. The sand needs to be that deep to have anaerobic bacteria for nitrate reduction.

Thanks for the responses. I ordered a mag 12. In the mean time I am using a smaller utility pump to get the water back up to the tank. I think it will be fine for a couple days til my new pump gets here.
