    You need at least 1 snail per gal. Cut back on feeding. Is it hair algae or slime?

    How often do you feed and how much? Do you use RO/DI water for your changes? You may have dead zones, and need more water flow.Try cutting back on feeding and adding some small powerheads. If you have cc. clean it.

    I think black sand can make things pop real well, but spoting a problem on,your sand bed may be harder. Looks real nice other wise.

    How old are your bulbs? I changed mine, and did the toothbrush thing, cut back on feeding, got a lot of snails,I also added 2 power heads for more flow, also got in the house RO/DI .I do a 10% water change every week. Now my tank looks great. I gave this same advise yesterday, still good today.
