Sounds like the same test kit I just got.I tested with it yesterday for the first time and my calcium was 500 I used up the whole syringe before it stared turning blue.I'm going to try it again today.If I am at 500 I need to lower mine also. I just don't know how.

I also have the Lifereef and love it.I've never had a problem with it loosing siphon.I've unplugged the return pump many times and it has always restarted.

I want to put some lr in my 30 gal sump.The lfs has fiji rock for $5 lb and what he calls base rock for $3 lb.What is base rock and would it be any good for sump use?I used the fiji rock in my main tank but was wondering if the base rock would be ok for the sump. Thanks, Steve

My tanks been runnig since saturday today I noticed there are bubbles coming from the l/r.They come out of the rock and shoot to the top of the tank.It's kinda like watching shooting stars.Is this a good thing? This is the first time I've had l/r in a tank I had fake coral with f/o Steve

I've had my snowflake eel for around 11 years in a 55 gal tank but soon to go into a 90 gal.

I like the air stone idea too.Where did you run the air line? Threw the top on the cup? Sounds like I'd like to try it.I took the foam off to see if it helps make it easier to keep running.

Thanks for the input.It seems like I can get it to run right for two or three days then it needs adjusting or the filter needs to be cleaned.The water level in the tank seems to effect the performace also. I think I'll get a different brand for my new tank. Steve

Has any body tried running their seaclone without the foam filter? Seems like it might be easier to keep adjusted. Steve
