    clown goby

Shouldn't be a problem for the goby. They have a protective slime that most other animals find bad.

    tank change

If you're doing this in your 10 gallon be careful. A water change probably would be in order. Moving the CC will put detritus in solution. You just can't help it. Could cause a spike. If it was me I'd remove fish, corals and rock and place is a safe tub. Pull all the CC out, rinse well...

    Clownfish SICK!

What are you water parameters? Ammonia, nitrite specifically? I would do a substantial water change in the numbers are high. Don't feed for a couple of days and watch your numbers. If you have specific symptons try the disease and treatment forum. They're great. Good luck and welcome to the...

    live food

This pic is of the skunk clowns but you can see a black molly in the back. I always do my acclimation with a plastic two cup measuring cup. Added the fish and squirt from a turkey baster with tank saltwater. Started with one cup of water and fish. When the measuring cup was full, poured out...

    Considering a Puffer

snakes. Thanks, always good advice from you! How fast do they grow? It's like they talk about the size triggers get and I completely understand the long term considerations. But my humma has grown maybe an 1" in a year and half. Do the porc's grow slowly or like panthers, really fast?

    Considering a Puffer

My wife has fallen in love with porcupine puffers so I'm considering setting her up a species only tank with a Diodon holocanthus "Spiny Puffer." Any experiences/recommendations?

    live food

I converted some mollies to sw to try to entice my lion who was on hunger strike. Lion never went for them either and eventually died. Now we have a molly tank with a growing population. Making lots of babies. And my wife now loves the mollies and wouldn't consider them becoming food. I'm...

    Jawfish and Cleanup crew

With the DSB you're planning you should be fine. As you stated take precautions with jumping. Your jawfish should ignore any inverts you have. There primary diet is zooplankton so any small food should be fine. Great fish with lots of personality. A couple should be ok but there is always...

    OT: Vacation 2003...

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I agree with the concept of getting to know the personal side of folks. How does a true desert guy like you get to be a reefer?

    what does your clown host

My perc hangs out with a green hammer. My mated pair of australians are hosting with a large patch of hair algea. Go figure. My mated pair of orange skunk clowns are hostless. Just kinda hangout together over the rocks.

    Large Agressive

I've got a sargassum but don't have a picture yet. He's doing ok, but all in all a boring fish.

    Florida Aquarium

I went there last year. It is nice, especially the large system that the diver goes in. I was disappointed in their "reef" though.

    fish feeding

Invest in some timers. Especially for the reef. Of more concern than food is salinity. 2 weeks without a topoff could be tragic.

    Liquid Garlic

Garlic extract from a health food store works great. A little pricey, as is Kent's, but it goes a long way. Just make sure you don't get garlic oil. GNC I know carries it.

    Bio balls

11 fish is a fairly high bioload. If your nitrates are undectable I would leave it be. It seems to be working so why change. Especially in a FOWLR tank.

    Large Agressive

It's a red coris wrasse. Beautiful creature and great fun to watch. Must have a sand bed though for it to sleep in.

Best Skimmer for a 140gallon tank?

3rd that! It's a great skimmer with the mag 7 and rated (?) up to 300 gallons. I don't know if I would trust that but for your 140 it will do great.

    fish questions

All those are too many for a 75. Only two I would even consider would be the powder blue and angel. And only after the tank had been up for 6 months to a year. Just not good stocking choices for a four foot tank. JMO though.
