    spiroloid worms (spelling) i think... harmless filter feeders - you'll have to scrape em off - i kinda like how they look though kinda reminds me of a starry sky

    are they hard and stuck to the glass look like little white coils? might not be pods - might be spiroloid worms (spelling?) --- i have hundreds on back of my tank - harmless filter feeders.

    bang guy is right in his post ---- if you have a larger cleanup crew you can jsut leave the molt - pretty much personal preference. Personally i dont remove the molts unless they are in the open on the sandbed - but i wont put forth any more effort to remove one.

    when you are ready to add fish - a diamond watchman goby is a GREAT sandsifter ( i am unsure of the tank size requirements, and i believe you can only have one goby in the tank )

    from what you've described these hard worms on the glass are harmless filter feeders - they are all over my back glass because thats the only panel i dont clean.
