    damsel ?

none! lol jk contrary to popular belief a damsel IMHO is not the best fish to start with - they are very territorial and will be aggressive to future tankmate (good thing if you want an all aggressive tank though) IMHO clown / chromi are good starter.

hermit crabs - imo they dont bother anyone as long as you have plenty of empty shells for them to pick and choose.

    Adding a Cleaning Crew

no queen conch! can get over a foot long! try a tonga fighting conch they dont get more than 4 inches - but 30 gal still may not be enough for one as they require alot of sand to graze and bury themselves.

    this has me really upset

worst case scenario you can contact animal control - they might not be the 'animals' they usually deal with but they are animals as much as anything else... you might even end up with a free fixer-upper :)

    anyone own an arrow crab?

lol 'hitman crew' ? thing is my diamond goby will get right up to him and be fine, but my maroon clown got close to him this morning and it seemed like the arrow crab smelled a good meal the way he went at him.

Hey - has anyone had issues with their arrow crab misbehaving? if so, in what ways? has he picked at fish or killed anything?

    removal of Wet/dry filter.

AWESOME thanks! - i like that because it doesnt put my $200 (LFS overpriced) wet/dry to waste.

    removal of Wet/dry filter.

my reason was because when the water level drops in the sump my return pump causes a billion micro bubbles until i add water - but i think i'll remove my bioballs slowly, and add more water to the sump so i dont have to worry about it as often

    removal of Wet/dry filter.

good points  - i have considered keeping my wet/dry sump but removing the bioballs over a short period of time.
