Get a Maxijet 404. It's adjustable for flow. It's what I've been using without problems.

They all are since they are herbivores. However, they have a tendancy to knock things over as they move about.

I have one too. Mine picks on algae, but it also eats spirulina flake food, vegi pellets and Prime Reef flakes. I don't see it eating often but it's belly is fat so I knowit'sgetting enough to eat.I've had him for about a year. So don't worry unless it becomes emaciated.

No problem with mine. Check if bubbles or air is in compartment with pump. Water level high enough?

Does anyone have an Aqua Medic SP 3000 Niveaumat top up system? If so, does yours make a clunking sound about half the time the pump starts up? Is there a fix? I'm on my second one having returned the original because it was so noisy. I'm trying to live with the noise but it's driving me nuts.

I just close a ball valve for a few minutes when I'm feeding rather than turning my sump/return pump off . Does this seriously harm the pump in any way? :notsure:

I have two. they work well. No problems in over 7 months.

Should n0t be a problem to add a shrimp goby and pistol shrimp.

Don'tknow about diamond gobys, but yasha hase gobys and randelli shrimp will pair.

In your opinion, what is the best salt mix for reef tanks? Also, why do you think so--if you have the time to reply?

They will not fight nor will the shrimp harmany of them. But, why not get another shrimp too?

Fishjem, Are yours getting enough to eat algae wise?

Emeralds are herbavoirs, though they will eat fish food too. Mine have never bothered my corals and I've got 5.
