my wife has a puffer fish, and he is looking real sick.. on his tail the skin seems to be coming off and his eyes are real cloudy.. any suggestions on the problem.. her tank is about 8 months old and all parameters are ok.. the symtoms started this morning and he looks like he's not going to...

your feeding habits should be fine.. imho what size is your puffer, by the way?

do not go to the tanks in the mandalay bay.. they suck.. we were just there in dec.. not worth the $30 to get in. but vegas was fun.. lots

temp fix for temp solution.. she is planning on getting a bigger tank.. just not right now is all.. the puffer is still a juvy and will be ok for now.. imho

i do agree somewhat.. of course the puffer will grow that big, but we are talking about a year or two.. right now i believe she is asking for a fix to a temp. solution.. she's just starting with the tank and planning to upgrade as she goes. just asking will he be ok as a juvy in a 30 gal.. sorry...

i think you will be fine with a 30 gal.. TREBLE why are you so against the 30.. chill out... different strokes.. different folks.. go take a prozac

i have a puffer in my tank with inverts and no problems.. some people have had different experiences with different fish.. imo you should be fine with him in a 30 gal.. go with what you feel and not with what some people say.. good luck

how many fish.. and how big of a tank? but anyway yes you are feeding too much.. once a day is plenty.. are you having any spikes in your ammonia, trite, trates? you should be from all that waste. if not count your blessings. <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

are you adding additive to your tank? if so like what? i started adding iodine and my shrooms really came to life.

i believe from talking with the others.. we all pay dues take a certain amount from each members dues and then each month have a drawing for say $50 on any in the store..

or install a flapped check valve... either or will work
