I have the Reef Octopus 150 in my sump. It works well unless the impeller gets a little clogged, and I have to dial it down to nothing after a water change because it pulls water like mad after one. I have been happy with it though.

I'll have to check...but it does look to be higher than a sunpod, as I can't see a flare in the last camera shot. Ok, I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

I completed my fuge mod a little while ago and have tried to find a good bulb for the 15w incandescent fixture I modded to fit on it. I have finally slowed the flow in there so the macro would stop sucking up against the outlet guard too, as an aside... Would this bulb work for growth? Too...

My clown hangs out in the bottom back area of my tank. He didn't move around much until I added a pair of Chromis... Now he is all over the place because he thinks he is missing out on something as the Chromis cruise around.

I'll have to measure depth, but off the top of my head, I know it can't be more that 3.5-4" of room under it. There are some good suggestions here, and I will examine the canopy for all options before I start cutting holes in it.

My space isn't so good. I have a 30 tall on a stand with minimal room underneath the stand. The tank is in my living room, so I don't have anywhere to hide things other than behind the tank and in the stand.

Hate to double post....but... I measured the tank opening and only have about 15.5"-16" back there, so, even with my current skimmer, the hang on fuge could only be about 12" wide. I doubt I have many options there.

I can't keep a 30 gallon...6,000 gallons is mind blowing.

The whole canister filter thing has made me gun shy. I am very, very lucky that I caught the last leak I had, because I was leaving for vacation. I simply don't trust them anymore, so I have to explore other options. I just hope I can fit a skimmer and hang-on fuge on the back of my 30 tall.
