When I had a dwarf, he shed about once every two weeks. You'll only be able to notice if you're there when it happens. He'll shake like a dog, and his cuticle will come off. It will float away and dissolve or get eaten in the water within about five minutes though.

That's not entirely true. Look up some of Brooklyn Johnny's posts. He has a nano-setup with I think two clams in there. His might be the exception, I'm not sure, but it is possible with success.

Looks like a majano anemone. They're like aptasia in that they can reproduce rapidly, badly sting your other corals, and take over your tank. One or two look pretty cool in my opinion, but if it starts reproducing, I'd take it out.
