New 10g Nano, ideas please!!

well im out of town for the weekend, but i have several things on the way in the mail, including new lights, a test kit and a new filter.

alright guys, i have decided to upgrade! haha my apartment wont know the difference between tanks, and hopefully they wont ever even be in my apartment to see. But i am in the process of ordering a 17 gallon rimless tank. im super excited about! I think this also means once established, 2 clowns and another small fish should be no problem. i may even turn the 10g into a sump. ill have to read up on how to do it tho.

what's the footprint of the 17 gallon? Is it just taller or is there more depth to it also? You might be able to do Ocellaris now but I still advise keeping the Percula.

24 x 12 x 14.4, so it adds a little all around more so to the length than the width and height tho

i dont mind not getting ocellaris, i like them both the same really. i think either way ill just go with percula.

yea im looking into that, im thinking the 10 gallon is going to become the sump. so in that case ill be drilling some holes and setting up an overflow. but right now my bank account cant fund all of that at once. so for the time being i will just leave it about an inch or so from the top of the tank. i have a lot of work to do to design all of this. im also thinking about building a new stand, even tho i just bought the other one. it doesnt seem be very stable. so i have some projects to do over the next few weekends.

Yippee,, sounds GREAT! I think have the 10g sump would also be helpful if you decide you want a firefish or another pod grazer...

well i know i just told everyone about this awesome new project i was gunna take on, but on the way back from louisville, spending time with my gf's family, i hit a dear on the interstate! luckily i saw it coming so i was able to slow down quite a bit but i am now going to have to replace my headlight and get a new front bumper. so project is on hold for a bit. i do still have new lights and such on order, and i will still be on track with the normal 10g. but the upgrade is gunna be on hold

yea me too, coulda been a lot worse! i have heard some pretty bad stories about wrecked cars from deers. but im home safe and sound and it wasnt to bad all in all. thanks meowzer
