WOW... I am so glad to see the finished product!!! It looks AMAZING!!! Seriously... it looks great! Make sure to keep us updated on it!
Thanks Traveler,
It looks very sterile to me, new tanks always do....I'm happy with the rocks and columns all working to gether for the fantasy look. I can't begin to discribe the relief of having the important critters all set in the new home. LOL..The homemade columns will be a worry to me for the next few months...it's my nature. If it worries me too much they will be removed. They match the pavalon well, and finish the look, so unless I see peeling or bulging of the paint, I'm assuming it's safe....time will tell.
LOL...I hope to the most Holy one above, that all that is left for these guys is .... And they lived happily ever after for a very long time.
I am doing the best I can to seal the baffles on the sump...I can't believe in my excitement I sealed that bugger in there, and have to work on it from the floor in a tight space.

The chiller should be arriving soon...I really want to get the sump ready and switch all the plumbing over and be done with it. Then re-claim my bedroom.

Chiller arrives tomorrow....The last piece to the new system.
I have to check the new sump to see if I sealed it good enough, what a pain in the butt. However the sooner that's is ready to hook up, the faster I can break down the 30g and get the new SH tank completly set, and my room back to normal.

Its just a cheap Sony brand, but it's 16.1 Megapixiels and has 10X zoom. It was the highest resolution Walmart had, it cost $229.00...my last camera had 12 Megapixels
I don't have any tiny critters to test it on yet, but I will play around with it and see if I can get a good picture on something like that. But at least I can get pictures of the horses now. LOL ....Puppy pics will be coming later.

Flower, those pics are great!!! The tank looks awesome, I absolutely love the way it came out!
Thanks Traveler, I wanted to get good pics of the horses for a long time, now if I can figure out how to take a picture of tiny little things...that would be great. I will play with it later and get some puppy pictures up too.
That first picture of the female and male holding tales and scooting along ther beach is a true keeper.

Question on the chiller...
Instructions say to only allow filtered water to go through the chiller to prevent damage. I know it can be run through a canister filter, I don't want a canister filter that I have to clean all the time, how else can I filter the water leading to the chiller? Would a homemade filter sock work?
AAAHHHH!!!!
On my total frustration...
No matter how hard I try I can't seal these baffles. I can't get down on my knees anymore. I am going to wrap it in a tarp so I don't get glass everywhere, and smash it to oblivion...That's the only way to remove it from the stand, and then repurchase a 10g tank (that will fit in the stand easy) and apply baffles in half for a skimmer chamber and call it done.

Flower, You can use a maxie jet with a sponge on the intake. that's what I use in the baby tank. I just buy Aqua clear foam insert. Cut them in half, then use a pair of pointy scissors to cut an x in the end, and slip it on the intake. I can get 6 foam covers this way and change them about once a week. You can tell when they get dirty because they change color.
I can get pictures later if you want to see.

I get them at pet smart. I buy the lrg 40 to 70 gal size. I just use a knife to cut them in half or thirds.

I found them online, there are no Petsmart stores by me. I'm having trouble with the sump baffles. I can't do anything until I resolve that issue. Once I get the sump holding water in the right chambers I can set everything up.

Update:
I'm off to empty the old tank and reclaim my bedroom. I have a couple of ideas on how to do my sump system. I keep going between one on the side and easy to manage, and one under tha stand out of site. with the chiller and Aquaripure I will have stuff on the side anyway.
I'm thinking by the time I rearrange my room, I will have an idea of which way to go. I want to get my chiller up and running before we turn on the heat in the house. It got down to the low 40s outside this last week. The house was comfortable enough but my mother really wants the heat on. She has a heated blanket and a heavy comforter so I know she won't mind waiting for me to make sure the SH tank won't get over heated.
Soooo...talk at you all later....

Wow, good luck! I forget the weather is turning nippy for some of us. Here in SoFla its finally starting to become bearable again outside. Mid 70s at night, mid 80s during the day. Well, mid to upper, anyway. :-/
