I do have a needle syringe available to me (from horses)..do you think it would be better to use that????

This is what I used. I get them from the wife. She is a dental assistant.

You do know that you can get zero phophate readings but still have phosphate in the tank, it is just being used quickly by the algae.
Lois reading the post above it says a 3ml Latex Free Syringe with a 0.5mm x 16mm needle. It also says to inject the juice into (not through) the base, not the top of the Aiptasia.

Yes, sir I do. If I was really at zero I wouldn't have a scrubber.

Hey, maybe that is why mine doesn't grow?????

I should add, that the algae in the first pic of my tank. Took about 3-4 weeks to grow. Again, just too busy for the regular maintence stuffs.

Meowzer,
Just twist that tip on your other syringe and you good to go. I only say to use the other body as it holds more.
Use caution when poking them, it doesn't take any force and you can inject right out the other side from going in to far very eaisly. Yours has a tip for such a job, mine does not.

Good possibility that your in tank algae was outcompeting the scrubber and that also gives you the false readings on the tests. will be interesting to note a change in the scrubber operation now that you have cleaned out the algae in tank.

Yea, just two small spots in the display side. One of which is right on my porites coral. Up next or on the tissue of the coral. Do you have any suggestions on getting it off? I have thought about just bitting it, and getting rid of it. I have lost so much of it already. I just can't seem to make myself do it though.
I don't want to hurt the coral by scrubbing it any.
I thought about putting it in a bowl and using scissors to give it a hair cut??

I woul take the coral out of the tank and scrape the algae off with a blade.
Even if this means the tissue of the coral itself? I think there is a part of it that has got over run by the algae.

I am just gonna throw this out at ya........you could try the scrubber thing. IDK if you will have the success the others do, but you could just build the simple bucket version and try it. No two systems are a like so, you may have better luck then me. Heck it would seem that I may not have enough to make one grow. We shall see about that one though.
