    vitamin supplements and such

generally, no. There are some reciepes and suggestions, recently there was a huge thread on the topic if you search it, some do advocate it. I don't bother and they do just fine, I guess it is a question of how much rock and lighting you have.

    vitamin supplements and such

Vitamins can be kept in the water at anytime. Vita-chem is a decent product and can be used when your fish are looking stressed, if you have to do a big water change, or just on a regular basis. Although, you should not have to add vitamin supplements in an established tank with LR and LS...

    Non-invasive Aptasia Control

Sorry if this has been brought up before as I am sure it has, but I had a customer come in and tell me he was using a concentrated Kalwasser mix injected into aptasia to kill it. Anyone ever try this? Or have a better recomendation for non-invasive aptasia control? (minus the peppermint...

No such thing as a stupid question...

I know that researching a topic first is the desired way to go about it, but often people are not aware that such things exist. Which is why I began with the the Archives, which has threads that answer most things. But such is the nature of forums like this, and the music recording forum I post...

This forum is a great source for those of you who are just getting your feet wet in this hobby. The archives have threads that span the gambit on the hard to grasp specifics of keeping a marine fish tank. There are still a lot of nuances and seemingly small questions that plauge the mind of the...

    Newbie lighting question.

What you have is decent lighting. They are called power compact flourescent bulbs. They are a step above Normal output and High output bulbs but not, generally (dont beat me up over this) as good as Very High Output (VHO) or Metal Halide (MH) it comes down to lumen output, not wattage. Although...
