    flame angel

I think it depends on where you are getting it from, although I have heard of many angels dying of that. It really is a shame, they are such beautiful fish. Unfortunately, they can die unexpectadely due to cyanide, so its a risk you take in getting one. I ordered one from this site and it was...

HELP! adding fish too soon?! don't have time to spare, one night only!

I think you are gonna have to wait at least 6 months to put those corals back in a tank (safely). I would recommend taking them to a friend or someone you know with an established tank that can care for them. As for your other tanks, if you are starting from scratch you need to cycle which can...

How do you get your live rock

At the very least the LFS should put damp paper on your rock to help prevent the die off that will occur on the ride home. Almost make sure they do this, especially if you are traveling longer distances.

    Converting CC to LS

Because your sand is not "live" sand it will take longer to settle because the bacteria needs to attach to the sand grains to weight it down to the bottom.

    Beth, Quick OT Question....

I was wondering where you got your food processor for $12. I have checked a bunch of places and the lowest they seem to carry is $30. Any information would be helpful.

I keep re stocking but they keep dying!

What else do you have in your tank? They might be falling prey to blue leg hermits. Starvation might also be a reason.

    SWF.Com Order

It is always a good idea to QT any new fish you get for at least 30 days, regardless of where they come from. I believe that most fish from SWF are ok, but you never know, and its not worth the risk of your other fish.

    Purple Lobster

I have heard that purple lobsters hide a whole lot, which means you probably wont see him much, if at all. Most people suggest that they aren't worth they money because of this. Also, he might go after smaller fish. HTH

    Crushed Coral Users?

Scott6321 Do a search for CC switch and you will find ways of effectively taking out your CC and adding sand. I did this a week ago successfully in less than a day. Basically, you remove the water into another source (in my case another 30 gal tank I happen to have), put your rocks and fish in...

my qt tank is up and running.

Check the FAQ section at the top of this forum for all the basics to starting a QT. You can use a small piece of Live Rock and a little bit of your LS to help jumpstart the cycle. Because you used water from your main tank, it shouldn't take to long to get everything going (that water has some...

    black spots on clown

I think one of my tomato clowns has this same problem. It has had smal black spots (8-12) for at least 6 months now. I have posted this problem before but with minimal response. I dont think it is a parasite because it is not on any of my other fish. Also, his fins appear "thinner" in certain...

    Quarantine?

For live rock you can do a hyposalinity dip (around 1.04) that will chase all the hitchhikers off. As for inverts I am not completely sure, you could also try this method for them as well I guess.
