I have the remora pro and the return to tank gph is less than 100. I suspect the regular remora may be less. Do you have any powerheads? I would run 1 or 2 in addition to the regular remora skimmer and your emperor 280. I have two maxijets 900's in my 29. I like your setup.

This is the 3rd one of these I have seen. It feels heavy and like jello to the touch but looks weightless in the water. Is it animal? Is it alive or dead? An egg sack of some kind? It's the size of a golf ball.

I don't think you should ever medicate the DT. Again, based on research I've done on here. I had the same or similar problem as you. I used Maracyn 2 in the QT and it crashed killing all but one fish. You are btwn a rock and a hard spot with the secondary bacterial infection and no cycled QT...

Hate to bear bad news, but Beth has always told me not to medicate in an uncycled QT. The antibiotic will kill what little bio filter there is and may cause anywhere from an ammonia spike to total crash.

mine ran out of algae after a week or so. I have been feeding seaweed sheets since then and he seems ok with that.

test for magnesium as long as your testing for ca and alk. 10% weekly is the rule of thumb as mentioned but I would do a little more in such a small tank. It is easy to over feed, over dose additives, add to much coral food, etc. and the smaller the tank the harder it is to keep good water...
