Looking for a Conch & Nudi Question

Hello all, my small queen conch recently passed away and I was looking for a replacement. I need something that shifts the sand and stays small. I don't wan't anything harmful like sand sifting gobies or stars either. Cucumbers look like the get to big anyways. The sand sifting crabs here...

Is this a sponge or a sessile invertebrate?

Nope, just plain old sponges. All they do is filter feed. They seem to love my sump though.

    upside down blue jellyfish

Not sure if this is quality info but from what I've heard, they're like any other coral except they don't attach to anything. With all the powerheads most people have, this is a problem because it blows them around and shreds them to pieces. I also think that they are toxic and can harm you...

    Dog Trouble

Hey all, I have an Australian Shepherd who will be 2 in August. She knows a number of tricks and house rules. She's house trained, kennel trained, doesn't walk on the carpet, and is slowly losing a bad habit of barking. She also knows some other tricks like sit, shake, lay down, and roll...

    Nudi proofing my tank

Hi I'm looking into getting a lettuce sea slug but I've heard many horror stories of them getting sucked up in powerheads and then shredded to pieces. Is there anything I can do to make it safe? I have a maxi-jet 1200 and 900 for water flow, and a RIO 600 for intake into my skimmer. Also what...

    Blackcap Basslet

Does anyone have any advice for keeping these? Right now I have a 55 with 2 clowns, 1 bicolor blenny and a fire shrimp. I've got around 35 pounds of LR in it also. I'm avoiding royal grammas because I've heard that bicolors can fight with them. Also, different question, but would DT's...

    Tiger Tail Cucumber

pretty much as safe as it gets with cucumbers. Sea apples are what you have to watch out for. Along sand cleaning, they are much better than other things sold like sand sifting stars and gobies. The only eat the detritus, not all the fauna in your sand. The only problem I see with them is...

    Reef chromis

I've seen big, green ones by themselves at LFS before with tangs, angels, and other large fish. Now if your talking about the blue or purple, I don't think it would be a very good idea because I think those don't get as big as the green.

    Flatworm Question

Not sure if anyone knows about these, but in the class (I think) Turbellaria, there are free-living flatworms that don't spawn in plague proportions like the red flatworm pests. Instead they're very colorful, like nudis, but seem to have a less specialized diet from what I've read. Does anyone...

    Razor Fish

Does anyone have any idea what this fish is in the misc. section here? Is it a type of wrasse or something? I'm looking into getting one.

    So ugly, it's kinda cute!

Those are spaghetti(sp) worms, good for cleaning sand and eating leftover food. Toss em back in your tank.
