I think you answered your own question. Are the other bulbs that work VHO? If so, yes, you have a bad bulb.

You'd be real limited on what you could put in the tank. If you added two, you would be in much better shape and can choose from a lot of different things.

Well, I'd like to get around 430, but if you don't think that's necessary then I won't worry too much about it. Right now my calcium test kit is a Nutrafin. When it's gone I'll order a Salifert. The date for regents are good though.

Okay guys. Take a look again at what I posted. You are both talking about dkh. My dkh is 9, which is good. Nothing is out of balance except for the calcium. Also the magnesium is posted and normal.

I recently purchased a bubble and the lfs stated they don't tolarate high flow. I placed mine out of any direct flow and its been doing great.

Okay Bang Guy, I'm going with your method. It seems to me though that since I will be mixing the vinegar after siphoning off the clear water I wouldn't need as much as the method I was doing before. How much vinegar (max) do you recommend per gallon?

Sounds like you got it figured out. that's great about your tap water being so good. It will definitely prolong the life of your RO filters. I'm jealous, my city water reads 600-700. And they say it's safe to drink! Oh well, that's to be expected living in the desert I guess.
