My lfs told me the blue glaze is a sign of good health. I've had mine for a year now and he is great. I got him when he was about 2 inches long. He is now a lot bigger and he is in a 150G tank. I used a feeding stick for a couple of days, but now I hand feed him. His personality is just awesome.

I agree with bang, use a plastic container and all should be fine. I used one for my foxface and had no problems. Good luck

Plastic egg crate??? Not sure what that is. Do you mean like what the eggs in the market are from? I know this is a dumb question, but I want to make sure I do it right the first time. The eel at the LFS was around 8-10 inches.

Boozzbro, I thought I was the only one that the spitting of water happened to. Mine does it if he doesn't feel like I'm feeding him quickly enough. He is pretty accurate and can get some distance even though he is only about 5in long. Figure by the time he is full grown he will be getting it...

The bigger the tank the easier it is to care for. And research and patience are 2 useful keys to this very addicting hobby. :thinking:

Give him a couple of days on feeding. When he gets really hungry he will eat. Mine didn't eat for 3 days when I first got him. Now he just takes the food right from my hand.

I dont think I overfed. He ate like normal for about a minute and then swam away. :thinking:

I forgot to add that when ever my 5 year old comes to the tank he comes right to the front and follows her all over the place. I thought maybe it was because he was hungry, but one time right after I fed him, she came up and he followed her back and forth across the tank for about 5 minutes.

My porc puffer tends to be on the lazy side. He usually rests on the bottom or a cave except when he thinks he going to get fed, and then he is all over the tank pushing everything else out of the way. Every now and then I catch him exploring the tank or swimming alogside my foxface. They...

The puffer is abput 5in, the foxface about 4in. The clown is eventually going to be moved in the next year or so. :happyfish :happyfish

My friend is breaking down his 29G tank and is giving me his six line wrasse. its about 2 inches right now. Would this work in a 150g with a porc puffer, foxface, bicolr angel, and a small clown?
