    GO for it! ADD the icey water first with nothing else. HEat it up then get your salt levels up. once the water and salt is up add live sand..but only half ...maybe one inch or so.     I have the coralife fixture...compact about 350 dollars or so and it works great for me.... I also use a 50/50 four foot single that the tank came with for added light and my new corals are doing great.... here is a pic of one of my week old leathers.....

    Yellow Tang died-don't have a clue why?

    Wow! you bought a tiny one!!! I got mine at about 4 inches, he is the ruler of the tank and the last fish I bought. He is still doing great and grazes all day on the live rock. I think when buying a yellow tang from the lfs take your time with him make sure he is eating if he looks skinny look...

    What additives do you put in your tank?

    I use a product called Phyto-feast which is food for all filter feeders. You keep the product in the refrig..... as it is a live product, also I use by coral-vital "the reef life energizer" Which is good for live rock too.

    moon lighting recommendations?

    I keep moon lights on for four hours at night, then They go off by timer... cause the moon is not out in real life all night!!! However I keep a night light on all the time..... it adds just a tad of low lighting and from what I have read its good......Anotherwards my night lite is like a kids...
