When is the best time to test your water?

I could be way out in left field on this but I don't see why it would matter. Your pump runs 24/7, water is always circulating, evaporation doesn't change your salinity to a great degree if water levels are maintained properly. So if this is an established tank I don't see why it would make a...

    Chocolate Chip Starfish eating anemoe?????

Chocolate Chip starfish tend to eat corals, clams, and oysters. They are not reef safe! It depends on how bad you anemone is hurt, personally I'd remove him or the Chocolate Chip starfish unless you want it to happen again.

    Low voltage temp controller?

I've been thinking along the same lines and suppose you could wire a low voltage transformer to a low voltage thermostat that could control a computer fan. No idea on cost because I have most of the stuff just lying around the garage and haven't priced buying new. Try heading to Home Depot and...

    GFCI tripping problem

Is the GFCI tripping or is the circuit breaker tripping? This makes a difference. If the GFCI is tripping you either have a ground fault or a bad GFCI receptacle. A ground fault can easily be checked by unplugging everything and plug each item back in one at a time. If it is the breaker that is...

just wanted to share some pics

+3 on the green star polyps, but the reason I answered this post is I believe that is a Elegant Seastar - Fromia Starfish on your tank wall? If it is you need to monitor around corals and reefs, some starfish are reef and coral safe but I don't believe this on is.

    lighting effects

IMO I don't think you will have a problem with the lights "looking weird" I believe they should blend but I really don't see why you want to do this. It sounds like you have a nice "blend" already. It would be helpful if we knew the size of the tank and the height of your lights from the water...

nova extreame pro moon light plug

Just wondering out loud, when you said "Plug" did you mean the low voltage transformer that plugs in? If so, unless it was under water for a couple hours, just drying it off should have worked.
