I have had a Queen Conch in my tank since January and found her empty shell yesterday on the sandbed :( She was absolutly my favorite snail in the tank and never saw anyone picking on her. Have no idea why she died. Here is a pic I took of her a couple of weeks ago. :( :( :( :( NewBe

This thing just started to show up one day and now it's a least 2'' tall. I think it's pretty cool looking and want to keep it as long as I know what it is and that it woun't start spreading all over the tank. I don't even know if it's plant or animal. Thanks, :) NewBe

I found this in the tank the other day. It looks like a starfish, but this thing has 7 legs and I thought starfish have 5. Anyone know the name? Is it reef safe? Thanks, NewBe

I read a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about a Bristle Worm trap made by putting a peice of food and a small rock in a pair of old pantyhose. The worms are supposed to get cought the hose. I am going to give this a try this comming weeked and wanted to hear from anyone that has tried...

I now have a small patch of Hair Algae growing and I have 3 of the bubble algae. My question is what can I get to eat this stuff? It will have to be an invert (no more fish), and I've heard that Emerald crabs will eat Bubble Algae, but I don't want one, too big and scary for the 12 gallon...

At least once a week I come home to find one of my power heads fallen. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!! They are mini-jets and stick to the tank via scution cups. Does this happen to anyone else, is there some trick to make them stay????? Thanks, NewBe

I think I found a Flat Worm on the front glass of my tank. My questions are is it indeed a Flat Worm? How bad are they? If bad how do I rid my tank of them? Thanks, NewBe :confused:

After two months my Clown has finally hosted my Hairy Mushroom!!!!!! It is the cuttest thing watching him snuggle up in his new host. I had nearly given up hope that it would ever happen. Ahhhhhhh so happy! Just had to share, I'll try to get a pic, :D NewBe

Ophuria, I have at least 10-20 of these tiny (middle body is the size of this o) stars in my tank. I have never had stars, they must have come in with my LR. I'm wondering if these are babies and will grow to be big or are there brittle stars that stay this small. They are completely white...

I've have this Pink Creeper Xenia for 2 weeks now and it has not pulsed once!!!! It is always streched out and looks really good but no pulsing. All my water params are very good. Any reason for this? :) Thanks, NewBe
