    Mystery Coral

From the description it sounds like a mojano anemone. It's a relative of aptasia. It doesn't spread quite a quick, but still has a formidable sting. If I were you I would try to get it out of the tank. Good luck.

HELP!! What is my star doing??? (video inside)

It looks like a fromia to me. Not a bad thing at all. They do best with lots of live rock. Good luck.

    I'm Not Ordering Online Again

Lot's of complaints I've heard of ordering live specimens are the fact that #1, you can't choose exactly which ones are truly healthy or not. And #2, you may end up with a fish or invert. with totally different coloration patterns you may be expecting. This could result in having something you...

    Huma and Porcupine?

In one of our holding tanks we have a small humu and a medium sized spiny puffer. Both get along quite well (the trig. only being an inch long.) As far as the "clean-up" crew goes, I'd be very wary of putting these fish together with the inverts. you describe. Good luck!

    Starting a 25 gallon...need help please

I would just have a bare bottom tank, with plenty of flow. Let the zoos grow on the bottom. I think that might be even more attractive than a substrate. Good luck.

    Is this ok???

Unless your seeing any aggression from the clown that was originally in the tank I wouldn't worry about it. Was there any aggression at all from the original clown, when you added the new one? Keep an eye on the brain coral to be sure the clown doesn't love it to death. Good luck.

    Little Nemo - Day 32

Awesome, bang guy. He seem to be losing some of his black color, but he might just keep changing. How long till he will look like regular clown? Once again, he looks great. How's the next brood :notsure: coming? Good luck.

    cycling with uncured rock

Is it the aquacultured type? If so that sound like a great deal. Just be warned. I've heard you get lots of mantis in rock from this area. I've cycled a couple of tanks with uncured LR, sure it takes a little longer, but it's cheaper and there's a better chance of keeping more hitchhikers alive...

    Basket Starfish ?

I recomend you refrain from purchasing one. They are extremely difficult to keep healthy. I believe they are filter feeders, and need large amounts plankton to survive. Good luck.

is this enough for a 75 gal?

Well, as long as you're spending the money why don't you upgrade the 175's to 250's? This will be enough light to keep most things thriving and happy. If you decide to go with the 175's I would say keep sps and clams with caution, and closer to the top of the tank. Good luck.

    Christmas tree worm rock.

Be sure that you are able to keep the porites coral alive. The worms seem to do better with the coral around than without. I'm not really sure why, this has just been my experience. Good luck.

Has anyone ever had an octopus?

I might be wrong, but I think that the blue ring octopus doesn't have venom. It has a symbiotic relationship with a bacteria that lives in it's mouth. It's just something I was told a little while ago, and I trust the source. It just another thing that makes you go hmmm  . About...

    Fuge light

Are they PC or NO? I would personally get PC. More light equals more growth equals more nutrients pulled from the water, I think :notsure: ? HTH Good luck

    ID on a clam

That is a great looking clam! . I would definately put it on the rock work. Crocea have the highest lighting needs among clams, and they are rock boring clams. I must tell you again that is a beautiful clam, wow!

    cucumber?beneficial or disaster?

They are beneficial because they stir the sand, and eat left over food and fish waste. The white poop trail is just sand that he has eaten for the nutrients on it. I've had a sand sifting cuke for over a year now, and have had no detrimental effects with it. Good luck.

    Shrimp compatibility

I had a skunk, blood, cbs, and peppermint without any problems. But every tank is different as is every animal. I just thout I would give my .02. Good luck

    Is this thing a cucumber

Yes, that is a beneficial cuke. I have had one on my reef for a little over a year now. He just sifts sand all day. The size of mine averages around 6 inches. I've had no problems with mine thus far. Good luck

    No Purple Coralline....

Are you running metal halide lighting? I've noticed that in my new tank (has been set up a year in Jan) doesn't have much coraline to speak of on the glass. There is a little on the rock. In my old tank I ran NO and PC lights and had a lot more coraline everywhere. I assume that you are test for...
