    I wouldn't bust up the rock. Also, I like natural looking reefs, so I would just start putting rocks in and not worrying about planning the aquascape. Just let them go in randomly. Just my opinion.

    steve- sorry to bring this thread even more off topic and scare you even more from posting on this board for fear of being bombarded but...just curious why you chose acrylic vs. glass? When setting up that size what are the issues?

    ok, I think I just found some answers on a plastics site in the US. There is premade tubes. now question is what type do people use? Anyone with diy plans either for ca reactors or nilsen? schwar79@nospam.msu.edu I was thinking of copying the Precision Marine KR620. Anyone find flaws in this?

    skilos1- I just started a thread in diy, but thought I might ask you here...how did you or are you going to build your reactor? Supplies, acrylic, etc? Are there any premade acrylic tubes? Any pics or specs of yours? I'm thinking of building a Nilsen. Thanks

    DIY Acrylic questions

    I am looking into the possibility of making a DIY Nilsen reactor. Couple questions... 1. Where do you buy the acrylic to work with? 2. Do they make any pre-made tubes so you don't have to make that part yourself? That seems like it would be the hardest part. I guess that is all for now...

    Putting a fan above the sump will definitely bring the temp down a few degrees. If you're having temp swings, try putting the fan on a timer. On during the day, off at night.
