    Keeping pink brains pink

Iron? haha. Not likely. Brains get their color from symbiotic algae. Keep the brain happy, keep the brains color. Other than doseings with stuff like coral vite and essential elements you can feed a brain at night or sometimes in the day. The best time is when his tentacles are out and...

    lighting

Depends on the size. If you want something brighter then go with some power compacts. It really depends on the size of the tank and how bright you want things.

    Paint?

Try blue. Makes the tank a bit brighter if thats a concern. I like it alot better than black.

i forgt to rinse sand what to do ?

If you are just setting up your tank don't worry about it. Cycle will take care of it. Your tank may just be cloudy for a week.

    Dove Shell Snails

Anyone have these? I just thought i'd recommend them in any reef. They hitchhicked to my LFS and i took home about 15 of them. GREAT algae eaters and they stay small. Check them out in Sprungs invert book. Pg. 109

Stocking a 75 gallon reef tank.

You don't need so many turbos. They will probably eat themselves to death. They need alot alot of algae. I would go with maybe 5 and 10 astrea snails or ceriths or combo both. Also go with about 20-30 blue legs. Maybe some shrimp or emeralds. Variety is the key.

frogspawn and button polyps need help

super glue gel. Some soft corals won't glue. If the polyps slime at all then the super glue won't work. You may want to place the frag in a calm spot and wait for it to grab some sand then try glueing it.

Yellow Porites question (and a brain one too)

If the brain ever turns white then worry. Otherwise if he keeps his color don't worry. The porites will open up given some time. They do need some kind of current over them. Nothing super strong but a nice little flow will help them open up. I think they filter feed to an extent so...

Try as best as you can to keep an eye on your shrimp. They may be ok since the coris is juvenile but you never know.

    Wrasse Corbis Reef Safe?

You can't really. Look for a small mound. You have so much sand and rock he could be hiding anywhere. You'll just have to keep your eye out. Sometimes his fins will stick out a little. Wrasses "go to bed" once they learn the light cycle. Alot of fish will do that if you set a timer for...

    Wrasse Corbis Reef Safe?

Well its a pretty wrasse as a juvenlie and will change color like an angel when he gets older. But foot long wrasses are terrors sometimes. Big mean and aggressive. Stick to the sixline. Heck 6 inch wrasses are aggressive let alone 12. Get Scott Michaels book Marine Fishes. Lists most...
