That would work but as far as spectral output it is a matter of taste, I prefer 10,000K MH and actinic blue combinations.

With the bowfront I think you will be fine. 6 watts per gallon You just won't be able to put extreme light demanding things out on the very ends of the tank. MH will illuminate about 1 foot either side extremely nicley, so we are only talking about end 6 inches on either side.

If the tank is more than 36" long then the one MH in the middle won't be of much help out on the ends. Yet your totall wattage gets you up to 5.6 watts per gallon. Overall it sounds good, but would like to know dimensions of tank.

It really depends on how you arrange the flow, if you time with one side off while the other side is on and visa versa then go more. If thet both are on all the time then try some way to move the water other than in a laminar flow pattern. 15x or better is great IMO.
