    foggy water

So your tank has been running fine since December, no problems, then all of a sudden one day it is cloudy? Is that right? What kind of filter are you using? How long since you rinsed some of the filter media and/or rinsed off any foam mechanical filtration?

    Fish List - Need Help

Niger Triggers are supposed to be the least aggressive. That being said least aggressive doesn't mean you won't have issues with them when they get bigger. I've always heard to add flame angels last. They can get territorrial and mean.

Non reef tank, need clean up crew?

What kind of fish are you planning to keep? Larger predators will enjoy the nice meal that a cleaner crew make.

    foggy water

You need to post a lot more information to get help. When did you last test your water? What were the readings? How long has the tank been set up? Can you post a picture? Have you tried running carbon? What is in your tank (LR, fish, inverts, corals)? :D

    Just a quick lighting question

Actually, with your reply I re-read your posting. That lighting only puts you at about 4 watts/gallon. Now I'm thinking that might not be enough. Hopefully someone who has an anemone will respond and give you a definite answer.

The conversion from CC to LS

Thats a lot of questions for one posting, but I'll do my best to answer them all for you. 1. Yes, it is worth the trouble! I had CC in my 55 for about a month and was shocked at the nasty gung that had already accumulated. 2. I did mine in increments. I took about 1/4-1/5 of the CC out per...

    New Tank

Plenty of people have FOWLR (fish only with live rock). Yes, fish are more forgiving to imperfect water conditions than corals so it is easier to keep them.

    Remove some LR?

Definitely too much! You should remove half and send it to me. I'll take care of it for you. :D

    Reef filtration question ? ? ? ?

Wow! I'd never heard of no filter with no live rock. Also, what I've read and heard said you likely need a DSB to run filterless. Thanks for the post BangGuy! I've been debating going filterless in the near future and you've given me hope. :D
