    its simple. all i do is get the eggs and put some in a water bottle filled with water from my tank and just wait. 12-24 hours later you have shrimp. just use a eye dropper or something to suck the out and do what ever you want with them. you can also get the hatchery and follow the instructions...

    depends but i think it would take about 2-3 days at the worst. they use FedEx and fedex is actually pretty fast. most stuff would be overnighted after they process it and package.

    you could try some clear rigid tubing the lenght of his body into a two litre, or something that would make him put his whole body in. what is the length of your eel.

    i would really like to know this answer as well. mine varies a couple degrees between night and mid day due to the light and general room temp. i have never thought that it could be a problem but now that you are asking, maybe i have just been ignorant to the situation.

    i have a whole piant by numbers sand bed. i blame my diamond goby i think it is normal. mine is mainly caused by layering of the sand bed. my fish shift the levels around and causes many colors and layer to be visable.

    oh.....i see what you are saying. i thought you ment rocks, shelves, then rocks. just like a layer effect. the pedestal idea is really cool. it look amazing. i always see it being used at the LFS to display coral. there should be no downfall to that method.

    i always love when i travel and am able to see different LFS and natural wildlife (the beach). i just wish my home town had more fish stores.

    wow i never new they were coral munchers. the LFS here have them in there coral tanks. hey if you have so many send some my way. i have never even had one pop up in my tank.

    i just get bottled one-gallon jugs of drinking water from Walmart. It says "processed by : reverse osmosisis". it runs about 66 cent a gallon. it should cost you about $30 to fill your tank. some LFS sell their own RO water, you could just give the a call.

    i think the standard is about 6 months, that is just what i have read. it will vary greatly between each tank.

    is it a new tank, if so this is normal. if it is not then some hermits or a conch could help. you might want to up the flow if the algea is being caused by dead spots. consider some snails as well they usually do the best with sand beds.
