    How to frag a Frogspawn?

When I fragged my I used bone cutters, but you could use any type of heavy duty cutters and just cut down low where the heads split, nowhere near the meat of the heads though.

    xenia in fowlr

Kinda funny, I have a coral beauty that doesnt touch my xenia at all. I have tons of it my tank to. I really need to frag it. Also to answer your question xenia attaches to just about anything. if you put it near the glass it will attach to it all by itself. Mine did anyways.

    Flow question!?

I have my 75 gallon set up like the second pic with 2 koralia 3's and it is plenty of flow for me, so the #2's would probably do good for you. I also like the flow going off the front of the tank.

    new tank help help

I would guess while moving the tank you stirred up the sand bed or something of that nature. It is the amonia that is killing your fish, they are very sensitive to it. I dont know that there is much that you can do since your tank sounds like it is going though a mini cycle. Bring the fish to...

Have you ever seen one like this?

It would work fine but +1 on making sure there is plenty of left over space in there in case of a power outage. When I set up my sump I cut all power to the return pump to make sure that it could hold all the excess water from my overflow.

    washing sand

is it already wet sand with saltwater and bacteria in it? If so then do not wash it. When I added dry sand to my tank I washed it because it gets alot of the silt out and your tank will not could up as much.

    Colt Coral

Question??? Now I have a huge colt coral that I need to frag. If i cut off an arm and stuck a toothpick thought the bottom, could I just rubberband the toothpick to a piece of rubble untill the foot of the frag attaches instead of doing the whole rubbermaid thing? Any help will be great. I have...

dont worry weather you like it or not, you wll have more xenia then you can shake a stick at. fragging a yellow leather toadstool

You can frag the heck out of it. How big is it? Any pieces you cut off of it, just use fish line to tie it onto a piece of rock and it will heal and grow. Any questions about it pm me and ill let you know how to do it.

Did my LFS give me good advice?

+1 on changing out your bulbs after that long the light spectrum will change and you can run into algae problems.

    New 75g Saltwater Tank

What you could do to make things much easier for you and there is no setup is get a hang on the tank refugium. For a fowler tank you dont need a sump though. I like having one because I can put my protine skimmer and heaters in it.

    Comment on Xenia

I know, it is honestly going to take me a few hours to frag all that xenia, let alone the colt coral that now takes over almost a quarter of my 75 gallon. Hopefully the lfs is in the frag buying mood.

    Comment on Xenia

I thought it would be cool to have xenia in my tank to. I have been out of state for a few months and my wife has been taking care of my tank and she hates to put her hands in the tank and wont touch the corals at all. I now have a xenia forest in my tank (from what ive seen in the pics I made...
