    Crab Id Please

There would be nothing wrong with keeping him in the sump away from anything he could harm. Cool looking guy but I wouldn't trust him.

Newbie: Barney Fife gets an Aquarium

Sounds like a rough start!! Was the LR cured?? I would expect a full cycle unless your sump/refuge has something acting as a bio-filtrater.

    phosban question

It depends on your phosphate levels... it could last for months or just weeks. If you are currently detecting phosphates then change it when the levels stop dropping.

2 Questions- latex gloves and B-Ionic

    1) it's a good idea to use gloves when handling corals anyway... latex is fine as long as they do not have anything on them. 2) you can add it directly to the tank... in a high flow area of course.

    Hair Algae

If the tank has no inhabitants you could... or just shut the main tanks lights off for a few weeks. You can also run some phosphate remover to help. Do you have a refuge??

    Flat worm killer?

Salifert Flatworm Exit... just follow the directions exactly. The problem is they release toxins when they die. In an aquarium they can reproduce in plague proportions.

    Sixline Soapfish

I don't know anything about them but was interested so I looked it up... they grow BIG... 12" or so. They are listed as expert only (probably due to them being poisonous) and they will have any smaller fish in the tank for dinner. They seem like a neat fish though...

    Ammonia Levels?

What test kits are you using?? Ammonia is toxic and should always be 0... you may want to take a sample to your LFS and have them verify your reading. I'd also say to do a water change as soon as you can.

    shrimps....

I had a CBS, 4 skunks & about 6 peps in my old 110g (lots of live rock). They lived together just fine for quite a while... but adding a CBS in the mix is a hit or miss type of combination. I have also read a few cases were a CBS did fine with other shrimp for some time until for whatever...

How to raise PH and where to get Calc test

I agree with that!! Wait for the refracto so you only have to adjust the salinity once.

How to raise PH and where to get Calc test

A PH of 8.0 if just fine... what time of the day did you test it?? Also, when you get your SG up it will help increase the PH. I look at PH as an "indication" only... meaning if the PH is low, it is indicating you may have a problem with circulation or C02 buildup, low alkalinity, a buildup...
