    My newest addition ... XENIA

Xenias are the most exciting coral to watch in my opinion. Add Iodine and they will flourish.

I've run no substrate for a while in my tank. About a year ago I dropped about a half inch of CC. When I had no substrate a couple a neat things happened. Coralline algae grew on the bottom and my green stars and some mushrooms grew on he bottom. The stars looked especially neat because it...

    good school fish?

Purple Queen Anthias is a good choice for a schooling fish. The colour of them is absolutely beautiful but they are somewhat costly.

    attraction to saltwater?

I agree with most of the above comments. The attraction for most usually involves the variety of colours in corals and fish. Each fish seems to have it's own distinct personality as well.

what's the worst mistake you ever made?

Purchasing cheap equipment because I did not want to spend the extra money. I ended up having to buy the more expensive equipment anyway because the cheap stuff crapped out or didn't do the proper job.

    Colt Coral Info pleeeeze.

I have had a colt for about a year and a half. The LFS guy told me to use Iodine and it will flourish. Has it ever. I have had to frag it about 6 times. At one point it covered about one third of my tank. If not tended to, they get out of control.

    Shaving Brush

I had one and it did not last long either. My friend Bosco has had his for about 3 months now and it has stayed the same size. The tips have corraline algae growing on them too.

    Can I Add This?

I know that they are very agressive. In my tank I have a hippo tang, slider goby, yellow tail damsel, kole tang, 2 percula clowns and domino damsel and the gramma leaves everyone alone. They are very territorial to a certain area in the tank though. Also you can not put another in the tank of...

    Loud music and fish?

Just remeber some fish are transported in loud jets for days at a time then driven all over the place then finally to your tank.If a jets engine doesnt stress them out, I'm not positive that a little loud music will!
