    puffers beak

Shrimp shells are not hard enough to file down your puffer's teeth. The best way to do so is to feed him small fiddler crabs (live or dead) or claws from prawns. The only problem is they're less frequently sold than other frozen seafood. They're much harder than shrimp shells, but not as much as...

    Harlequin Tusk?

They would quickly munch on small mobile crustaceans like shrimps and crabs with the exception of hermit crabs and snails (because of their protective shells). They pretty much leave cnidarians alone.

    29g Aggresive

I absolutely agree with other people on Humu Humu. Unless you're planning on getting a considerably bigger tank soon, you're advised to take him out. I have a dwarf zebra and an arc-eye hawkfish in 29, and it's been doing pretty well. They really seem to enjoy the company of each other's. My...

    banana eel

It seems that there are some eels called "banana eel" collectively because of a similar color or an attempt to rip you off. The species (can't remember what species) that used to on sale on this website usually grow to 8"-12" range.

LFS Received a Blue Ring Octopus

    Wow...... what an ingenious plan.....

    black banded eel?

I really like your lion's facial expression. Priceless:D

LFS Received a Blue Ring Octopus

If people keep importing such potentially dangerous species, we cannot be responsible for the deadly outcome of it.

    sharks in a 220

I think Bamboo, Epaulette, or coral catshark would be a good choice. I wouldn't get a horn shark.

    lawnmower/algae blenny

How many live rocks do you have in your tank? Is your lighting adequate? I had a 5" Lawnmower blenny in 30g, and it was pretty much self-sustained. It also helped to let algae grow on the rocks for a while before putting Lawnmower in the tank.

    Imperator Fish

How big is it? I suppose it's going through color transformation. Btw, a gorgeous Imperator! :)

    Rusty Angel...

Let it adjust to a new environment for a couple of days. Once it feels more comfortable, it should start swimming around and feeding.

    Crushed coral

Crushed coral does not increase pH significantly. It just acts as a buffer at best. I wouldn't count on CC for maintainning a high pH.

    Little Tank of Horrors!!!!

    Maybe he's got 20,000 gallon sump......:D

    boxfish!!!!!!!!!

They are one of the boxfishes that would most likely to release toxic mucus. I wouldn't keep two of them together, not especially in 29. I wouldn't keep one by itself in 29, either. How about hovercraft boxfish? I've kept one successfully in 30.

    Six-Line Angel?

The hardiest species within the subgenus, but also among large angels....but one of the largest angels, too. The big space is a definite prerequisite for this species. Other than that, you shouldn't have too much trouble.

anyone with a hawaiian spotted puffer

Wouldn't a puffer destroy all the macroalgae in a refugium from picking at it? It wouldn't destory the entire population of macroalgae. Your puffer will occassionally pick at them for sure, but I doubt it'll do much damage (For some reason, my tobies would eat algae sheet eagerly, but ignore...

anyone with a hawaiian spotted puffer

I wouldn't get Hawaiian Spotted puffer. They're the worst nippers of all tobies (I'm not just talking about corals, but other puffers, too). All the sharpnose puffers are pretty much pickers. Unlike their Arothron counterparts, they wouldn't leave small corals alone. Overall not recommended....

    Puffer Behavior ?

No need to worry. I think it is just one of their typical behaviors. I have had different species of puffers, including dogface, S&S, striped, porky, immaculate, and map in the past. (ohh...not to mention many tobies) What they usually do is once they're fully satiated, they just sit in the...

    Do fish drink water?

Yeah.....it's all about evolution.....both freshwater and saltwater fishes (and their physiological systems) have adapted to specific solute concentrations in the water. Since ,for instance, saltwater fishes have lower solute concentrations than surrounding seawater. Therefore, water leaks out...

    lookdown vs. Clown trigg

I'm actually surprised you actually managed to put those two in the same tank. Not the best combo in my opinion. I wouldn't have a single lookdown since they're schooling fish. They don't do well with aggressive triggers. Fortunately nothing catastrophic has happened yet. Good luck!
