even if they try to breed i don't know how likely it is that you will be able to raise any offspring.

Hows your puffer doing today? any sign of your puffer still being stressed?

that sucks. it would be a PITA to have to boil tap water before using it.

if i were you i would upgrade to at least a 125 gallon tank.

I use IO and so does my LFS. and neither of us have any problems with it and my LFS raises and frags their own corals.

the problem i have with books is with how fast things change in our hobby that once the book is written, printed off, set out to be retail. by that point the book is outdated.

what light fixture do you have? is the ballast inside the fixture or a external ballast?

well its better than paying $12 to drive across a bridge when you can drive across the river for free. the only problem i could see is trying to find a place to off the river and onto New York.

i have baby(fish)sat for a couple of friends 5 times and 4 out of the 5 their fish got my fish sick for 2 to 3 weeks at a time. but nothing bad.

i would say that the Current USA Outer Orbit Fixture, 1x150W HQI Metal Halide & 2X96W Compact Fluorescents, 36 inch is better than the Hamilton Technology 36 inch MH & T5 Fixtures, 1 Mogul Base Metal Halide Bulb & 2X39W T5 HO i am not a big fan of the Hamilton fixtures. plus either one you get...

i don't think it sounds like the bulbs. it could be the ballast failing.

what i have done when my tank has gotten ick is just feed a little more. and after couple of weeks your fish should be able to fight off the ick on its own. as long as your have a strong healthy fish they should be fine.
