Try putting in less tequila and vodka (like maybe 1/4 of an oz each) and a little more sour mix and cola. That might make it taste a bit less like alchohol. Also...instead of shaking it try either stirring it or just flipping the shaker upside down and then back. That might help a little too.

You should start checking garage sales. I got a 75 gallon tank (no leaks) with a stand, two light fixtures (probably florescent but whatever) and two hob filters all for 15 bucks. It was awesome!

Battery backups definately work. I have one on my seahorse tank, because I live in Florida with all the damn hurricanes and it takes about an hour for my dad to get the generator going. :joy: :joy:
